THE SPIRAL MODEL

The spiral model is a system development model used in system analysis. It combines the features of waterfall model and prototype model in order to attempt high risks projects. Each stage of this model start off with a goal that the company wants to achieve and ends by having the client to review the progress of the system at that stage so that they can give feedback about the system and tell if they are meeting the user requirements. The model only has four stages (planning, risk analysis, engineering and evaluation) which the software project passes trough. By doing this they are able to create a prototype of each phase which can be shown to the user and see if they like it and also develop the software systematically over the loops.
